One of the benefits of small class sizes at school is that you get to know your classmates' parents a little easier. As it turns out, one of Ava's classmate's dad is a pretty famous Taiwan YouTuber, Logan Beck! Logan is an American who lives here and started a YouTube channel that focuses on the food, culture, and travel around Taiwan. What's more impressive is that he speaks perfect Mandarin! Over the years, he has built an impressive library of videos and experiences and has built quite the following - to date, he has over 540K followers!! I definitely encourage you to check out his channel for great content and production!
He reached out with the idea to do a video introducing me to Taiwanese classics as well as local versions of Western favorites around his hometown of Changhua, which is just south of Taichung. We had a great day of eating, chatting, and seeing some of his hometown. We are working on going to see a goddess pilgrimage next and filming that adventure as well! Stay tuned!
